Transcript:

A successful conversion of DWG/ DXF files consists of the following steps:

Step 1:

Select one or more DWG/ DXF files. Select the target DWG / DXF file and format. If the target version is unknown, choose the 2004 version.

Step 2:

Next, an analysis of the converted DWG/ DXF file can be performed. The analysis will expose important information about the structure of the converted file. After the analysis, a list for the different selections will be available, such as: the names of layers, linetypes, text styles etc.

Step 3 (optional):

Next, it is possible to declare the DWG/ DXF file from the CAD target system as a prototype file. While using this file, it is possible to insert multiple new layers or linetype definitions into the converted DWG/ DXF file.

Step 4:

Here are the following options to improve the quality of the data:

  • In the „Texts“ interface, defining a conversion table in which it is possible to specifically convert the special characters or text strings is possible

  • In the „Fonts“ interface, it is possible to define a conversion table with which the text fonts can be exchanged.

  • In the „Layer“ interface, it is possible to define a conversion table with which the layers and properties of elements can be exchanged.

  • In the „Tools 1“ interface, colors, layer structure, coordinates and text types can be manipulated.

  • In the „Tools 2“ interface, selected element types can be removed from the converted file or replaced with more simple element types. Linetype and header manipulations are also found here.

  • In the „Tools 3“ interface various block and xref (external references) manipulations can be activated.

  • In the „Tools 4“ interface duplicate elements can be removed, the slightly open contours can be closed, and the lines and arcs can be combined to polylines.

  • An AutoCAD or AutoCAD compatible scripts, such purging of the drawing can be activated

Step 5:

The next step is to convert the DWG/ DXF files using CADInLa.

Step 6:

The converted drawing can be now be viewed using Integrated Viewer or another CAD system.

Step 7:

Save, for further use.
