The appearance of the text is defined in the DWG/DXF file using text styles. The text styles are defined in the DXF/DWG TABLES section.

The text styles are associated with the text fonts, which in turn are not part of a DWG/DXF file, but must be specified in the form of font files in a CAD system.

 

After the data transfer from one CAD system to the other, the appearance of the texts changes very much in most cases. A targeted conversion of the text properties is therefore urgently needed. The Text Styles dialog box allows you to globally exchange all used text styles in any other text style.

 

• By Selecting this function, all Styles of texts converted into one text style

• By Selecting this function, styles of all texts are converted to the STANDARD text style

• By Selecting this function, fonts of all text styles are converted to any font

• By Selecting this function, all Big Fonts of text styles are converted into any Big Font

• By Selecting this function, all Big Fonts are removed from the DXF file

• By Selecting this function, list of all existing fonts in the system

• By Selecting this function, list of all big fonts in the system

 

The appearance of letters and numbers is determined in CAD systems using text fonts. The text fonts themselves are unfortunately not part of a DXF / DWG file, but are defined in external files as so-called font files.

 

Most font files are proportional fonts, which means that the letter width is not constant, but tuned to the actual width of the characters.
