"Script Files" sind ein Werkzeug zur Lösung sehr einfacher Automatisierungsaufgaben. Sie sind für spezielle, sich wiederholende Arbeiten geeignet, die keine Eingriffe durch den Benutzer erfordern.

Das Programm CADInLa verwendet CAD-kompatible Skripte.

Eine Skriptdatei ist eine Textdatei, die CAD-Befehle enthält. Während eine Skriptdatei verarbeitet wird, liest CAD schrittweise die Befehle aus der Datei und führt sie aus. Eine Skriptdatei muss daher genau dieselben Zeichen enthalten, die Sie sonst eingeben würden.

Bei der Ausführung von Skripts spielt die Reihenfolge der Befehle und Antworten eine wichtige Rolle. Einige CAD-Anwendungen fügen beim Starten von CAD eigene Abfragen ein
